How Sex Therapy Works
First, we provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your struggles. Through hearing your story, we will start to get a picture of what your challenges are. We will start by helping you address immediate concerns. We will also work to discover what your goals are in therapy and in life. Keeping your unique goals in mind, we’ll figure out what’s needed to help you reach them. Over the course of our sessions, you will start making progress towards the life you desire.
Sex therapy consists of 60-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns. In addition to listening, we will provide helpful information and coping strategies that you can practice between sessions. It’s important to know that here is never any touching in sex therapy, and you will always be fully clothed. Having said that, we’ll play an active role in our work together. Ready to address the obstacles that are interfering with your ability to enjoy sex the way that you want to? If you feel embarrassed about your sexual health concern, just know that sex therapy could help.
