Sabah Khalid, LGPC
Not currently accepting new clients
Hello! My name is Sabah Khalid (she/her/hers), and I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in the state of Maryland. My passion lies in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, stress, and grief. My primary aim is to support my clients through life’s ups and downs, helping them navigate challenges and find their inner strength. Whether you’re currently facing difficulties or simply seeking to enhance your well-being. I believe therapy can be a valuable experience for everyone.
Creating a welcoming, safe, and supportive space is at the core of my practice. I want my clients to feel comfortable and understood, so we can work together effectively towards their goals. In treating my clients, I have found that I tend to gravitate towards a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) theoretical orientation as this is the most evidence based treatment available for the disorders that I have a passion in treating. My ultimate goal is seeing my clients feeling empowered after treatment is complete.
I am passionate about serving individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds. I am fluent in Punjabi, Urdu, and English and strive to create a safe space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel comfortable expressing themselves, particularly within the South Asian community, where such resources may be limited. I look forward to being a part of your healing journey!
“Therapy isn’t radio. We don’t need to constantly fill the air with sounds. Sometimes, when it’s quiet, surprising things happen.”
— Mary Pipher
