Welcome to the Greater Baltimore Clinician Community Membership!
Goodbye Isolation, Hello Community!
We live in an area where there are a great number of mental health practitioners, and yet, so many of us are feeling isolated, disconnected, and short on relationships with people who “get” what we do! You’ve told me that the surface-level conversations and one-time networking event interactions aren’t quite your style! You’re looking for deeper conversations and more authentic relationships in laid back environments without all the pressure!
I heard you, and we got this!!
This community is our opportunity to build genuine connections while relaxing and having fun!
A Clinician Community Membership Created with Your Feedback in Mind!
Prior to creating the Clinician Community Membership, I surveyed local therapists about their wants, needs, favorite activities, and preferred meeting times. This community has been created with this feedback in mind. Since the start of this program, I’ve asked for input along the way, and this year’s itinerary has been designed with feedback on everyone’s favorite activities.
What’s new for the 2024-2025 Clinician Community Membership?
Some of last year’s favorite activities included kayaking, candle making and soap making. This time around, I’ve made sure to keep what you loved while adding new activities that allow us to be creative while connecting through conversation. Personally, I’ve recently been enjoying opportunities to experience other wellness professionals’ skills. In the 2024-2025 membership, clinicians will have opportunities to relax while exploring self-care activities that are outside of our usual wheelhouse as well.
This community is for us, but it’s not just about us!
This community is for the helpers who want to prioritize themselves, so they can continue helping others without burning out! You know that taking care of yourself and your own needs helps you to be a better at your other roles in life too. And….you also know that it can be really hard for helpers to take a break from helping and heed their own self-care advice. If you’re the person who feels like your own needs aren’t enough reason for signing up, just remember that your willingness to prioritize yourself benefits those around you.
That network of new local providers that you’ll have at the end of 6 months will be a benefit not just to you, but also your clients. Imagine being able to confidently give out referrals to the client who isn’t a good fit for your office. Imagine our collective ability to help our clients and our community when we are able to work together in collaboration all across Baltimore City and Baltimore County!
Can You Imagine it Yet?
Just imagine you and your new friends exploring Baltimore, having new experiences together, and making memories while talking about the stuff that’s most important to you. Imagine taking off your work hat, letting your hair down, and prioritizing your own relaxation while trying new foods with people who want the same things you do! Imagine having relationships with 15+ new local therapists who you genuinely know, like, and trust at the end of 12 months and many fun times together! We don’t have to imagine that when we can make that a reality!
Use your time, energy, and money for your benefit + others’.
There are so many things that I personally love about this community, and its impact. Participating in this membership means using our money to support other local therapists, wellness practitioners and small businesses by using their services for this membership. This year, we’ll be supporting the work of several local therapists and up and coming businesses. Don’t get me wrong, we benefit from their services, skills, and knowledge too, and you too are worth investing in!
There are so many reasons to feel good about investing your time and dollars in a program like this! Check out our 2024--2025 plans for the Clinician Community Membership below!
2024-2025 Clinician Community Membership Schedule
Saturday, 11/9 from 9:45am-12:00pm: Equine Activity, Pasadena
— Rescheduled due to rainy weather
While this activity is outside of our usual Greater Baltimore activity zone, I trust that it is going to be a powerful and meaningful experience that will make the drive absolutely worth it! Prior to this gathering, we can plan for carpooling. That way, you can use your car time to and from this activity to get to know others in our group.
Discovery Behavioral Health, this month’s sponsor, offers mental health, eating disorder, and addiction services in a continuum of care including outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization/day treatment, residential treatment, and inpatient detox. Discovery specializes in helping children, teens, and adults suffering from mood/anxiety disorders, substance use, addiction, self-harm, attachment, and eating disorders.
It's our privilege to partner with the likes of Melissa Wesner and LifeSpring Counseling Services here in the Mid-Atlantic to help make a positive impact for those in need of our combined services and offer encouragement to families across the recovery spectrum.
Friday, 10/18 from 2:00-5:00: Fall Leaves Kayaking Experience (Baltimore County)
Last year, kayaking turned out to be one of our group’s favorite activities! Since everyone noted how beautiful this experience would be in the fall, we’re making that happen! Spend an afternoon on the water while getting a great view of the colorful fall leaves!
Friday, 11/15 from 2:00-4:00: Pottery and Painting at Amazing Glaze (Baltimore City)
Relax and chat with others in our group while picking out and painting your own pottery! Once your artwork is ready, you’ll have a beautiful piece to take home with you! Art making turned out to be another favorite from last year’s group, so we’ve integrated more activities like this into this year’s schedule.
Friday, 12/13 from 12:00-2:00: Food with Friends (Baltimore County)
December can be a busy month, but everyone’s got to eat, right? During our November gathering, we’ll be doing a collective vote on the restaurant that we eat at this month! This is a great opportunity to try out a new restaurant and some new foods.
January: Sound bath & Tea Time (Baltimore County)
Start the new year with a relaxing sound bath experience. From there, we’ll head across the street for tea and conversation where we’ll get to hear about everyone’s sound bath experience.
February 21st from 2:00-4:00: Latte Art Workshop (Baltimore City)
You love coffee and hot beverages, but do you know how to recreate that beautiful latte art at home? If not, this is your chance to learn how to make steamed milk latte art like a pro.
Friday, March 21st from 12:00-2:00 PM: Let’s Get Cooking! (Baltimore City)
This month, we’ll be heading into the kitchen to learn how to make a pasta sauce and some pasta dishes! I hope you’re hungry, because we’ll be eating what we make!
Friday, 4/18 from 2:00-4:00: Energy Techniques for Therapists (Baltimore County)
As therapists, we pay attention to energy and presence (our own and others). In this month’s gathering, we’ll be engaging in experiential exercises to help us explore energy in our work as therapists. This activity will be led by a local therapist who offers Reiki, Chakra balancing, and intuitive counseling services.
Sunday, 5/18 from 11:15-1:30: B&O Railroad Museum Tour & Train Ride (Baltimore City)
Explore one of Baltimore’s museums and get to see the Underground Railroad Exhibit while also going on a 40 minute train ride. Enjoy strolling and chatting through the museum while enjoying the warmer weather on our train ride.
Thursday, 6/12 at 7 PM: Let’s Get Fancy with Mocktails & Cocktails! (Baltimore City)
When was the last time you got dressed up for a night on the town? Tonight, we’ll be getting fancy and enjoying cocktails and mocktails with a breathtaking view of the city!
Friday, 7/18 from 2:00-4:00 PM: Introductory Watercolor Class (Baltimore County)
Relax and explore watercolor while catching up with friends. We’ll sip and chat.
Friday, 8/15 from 2:00-4:00: Aerial Yoga and Drinks (Baltimore City)
Explore aerial yoga and then head out for a post-workout drink and conversation to celebrate one year of being together!

There are costs associated with these activities. And, we want to acknowledge that creating this community requires time, energy, and labor from myself and others on my team. In order to create a sustainable program that includes amazing experiences, fees are necessary.

In my experience, not having a point person to organize can result in a group fizzling out and/or in a more organized member ending up with more responsibility than they really wanted. Shared responsibility can also sometimes slow down the process of planning rather than keeping the momentum. We want this to be an organized experience for all members, and one that is sustainable. We hope that those who decide to join will value the thoughtfulness and planning that was put into this community.

No problem! If you can’t make one particular event, know that we’ll miss you, and we'll look forward to seeing you at the next month's activity.
Refunds are not provided for months when you are unable to attend. -
No. This program is designed for people who want to build relationships over a longer, more consistent period of time.
Consider checking out our business owner’s retreat in Costa Rica, if you are looking for a one-time event, rather than an ongoing, relationship building program.
