Hi! My name is Jordan (she/her/hers) and I am a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor. I offer counseling services through a multicultural, collaborative, and client-centered approach to adults and young adults. I look forward to working with my clients as a partner, allowing us to learn and generate change together. Individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustments, and everyday concerns are all more than welcome.
My passions lie particularly in working with women, BIPOC, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. As someone who identifies as a member of all three communities, I recognize the nuanced experiences that come with having intersectional identities as well as the courage and vulnerability it takes to discover and explore these different and complex parts of yourself. My aim is to create a safe space where you can have the opportunity to acknowledge and develop yourself further, in a world that doesn’t always inherently offer up that safe space.
As a former college athlete I understand the sacrifices and discipline required to not only maintain multiple roles, but also excel at them. Dealing with imposter syndrome, identity foreclosure, and finding a healthy balance for sports, work, and everyday life are all struggles that you may face. Together we can work together to create strategies, to find balance, and improve your every day for a happier you.
For many, therapy can seem especially daunting because opening up to strangers is something many are taught to avoid. My goal is to simply meet you wherever you may be, and offer an empathetic and non-judgmental style to provide a comfortable therapeutic environment that will remain expectation free. Hopefully with some talk therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and some humor, by the end of our journey, we will feel a little less like strangers.
I consider it a privilege to work with you and I am excited to be your partner on your journey to growth and healing.
“You are growing into consciousness, and my wish for you is that you feel no need to constrict yourself to make other people comfortable.”
— Ta-Nehisi Coates

Outside of the office…
When I’m not at work, I am usually listening to music or an audiobook while I finish up my newest knit, crochet, or embroidered project. As a self-taught fiber artist, working with my hands to see a project through has taught me patience and mindfulness. I also love spending time with my friends either playing tennis or binge-watching the newest Netflix show.
Educational Background
I received my B.A. in Psychology and a double minor in Women and Gender Studies and African American Studies from Hood College. My master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling is from Hofstra University where I was also a member of the Chi Sigma Iota International Counseling Honor Society. My clinical experience has focused primarily in working with women and BIPOC to navigate anxiety, depression, and everyday challenges and concerns.
