Brainspotting is already part of the clinical work happening at our practice—which means you'll be learning within a practice that understands how to integrate this approach into real-world therapy.
And you'll learn directly from Melissa Wesner, LCPC, LifeSpring's Founder and a Brainspotting Consultant. Melissa will provide the Brainspotting consultation for the cohort throughout the program.
That gives you something a typical training program can't: The opportunity to learn Brainspotting, practice it with your clients, bring your questions and clinical experiences to consultation, and develop your skills over time—with an experienced Brainspotting Consultant and a cohort of peers alongside you.

Your 3-Year Program
Each year has a clear purpose and builds on the year before it
Year 1: Transition + Foundation
Your first year is about getting established in your new practice environment while beginning your Brainspotting journey.
You'll receive:
Comprehensive onboarding and training to help you transition into group practice
Monthly cohort consultation focused on your new role, clinical questions, and building community
A small cohort of clinicians making a similar professional transition
Brainspotting Phase 1 Training
Monthly Brainspotting consultation (post-training)
Support as you begin integrating Brainspotting into your clinical work
By the end of Year 1: You'll have experience in your new practice setting, a foundation in Brainspotting, and a cohort of peers you've gotten to know along the way. Then we'll celebrate your first year together with a cohort graduation.
Year 2: Deepen Your Skills
You've found your footing. Now it's time to go deeper.
You'll receive:
Brainspotting Phase 2 Training
Monthly Brainspotting consultation with your cohort
Continued opportunities to discuss clinical work and learn from your peers
Ongoing support as you develop confidence and skill using Brainspotting
Completion of the consultation sessions required toward Brainspotting Certification
By the end of Year 2: You'll have completed the required consultation component of the certification process and have significantly expanded your Brainspotting skills. And you'll celebrate another year of growth with your cohort.
Year 3: Find Your Niche + Become Certified
Year 3 is about becoming more intentional about where you want your Brainspotting expertise to take you.
At the beginning of the year: You'll identify and narrow down your Brainspotting niche—the population, presenting concerns, or area of clinical interest where you want to develop deeper expertise.
Then you’ll:
Choose an advanced Brainspotting training that counts toward certification
Update your profile to highlight your newly refined Brainspotting niche
Continue developing your Brainspotting skills
Complete the remaining requirements for certification
By the end of Year 3: You'll be a Certified Brainspotter and complete the LifeSpring Brainspotting Cohort. And we'll celebrate your accomplishment with your final cohort graduation.
